Kat. The Legend of Gnawbonia

A passion project of mine for the past 4 years, and the first book, written and illustrated by me!

There was once a land of dogs, a land plagued by war and famine, the great continent of Gnawbonia. Far across the seas, in a place called Catifornia, there lived a runt cat named “Kat”

 

After the death of her parents, Kat was forced into a life of house slavery by her seven cruel brothers who also run the Meowfia; the deadly underbelly thugs of the city. Fed up with the abuse, Kat and her little rat friend escape, venturing into a perilous journey far beyond the land of felines, to evade her brothers reach.

 

Lost at sea, Kat is caught by a ruthless gang of notorious pirate dogs and forced once again into slavery, this time to fatten for their feed. Given the risks involved, they decide to use Kat in their search for treasure, taking her to the depths of the ocean where she discovers an ancient city lost in time. Here Kat will come to terms with who she really is and gain the courage to fight for her freedom and fulfil an ancient prophecy that she inevitably finds herself entwined with.

 

A heartbreaking but uplifting, epic tale , full of adventure & quirky humor, about a little someone overcoming big adversity and showing what courage it takes to really live.
